How to upgrade Contents: .: Backing up your current version .: Rip Wiz 2003 Users .: SKMP3 Users .: Additional files .: Upgrade support *************************************** Backing up your current version *************************************** Backing up your current version is extremely important as it will allow you to revert back to your current version should you experience any issues with the upgrade. For Rip Wiz 2003 users, we reccomend renaming your current version of Rip Wiz 2003.exe to; Rip Wiz 2003_old.exe For SKMP3 users, we reccomend renaming your current version of Rip Wiz 2003 (rw.exe) to; rw_old.exe *************************************** Rip Wiz 2003 Users *************************************** To upgrade to the latest version of Rip Wiz 2003, extract Rip Wiz 2003.exe to your Rip Wiz 2003 folder (e.g. c:\Program Files\Rip Wiz 2003\), your shortcuts will not need updated, and your previous settings will not be lost. Also see Backing up your existing version *************************************** SKMP3 Users *************************************** To upgrade to the latest version of Rip Wiz 2003, you will need to, not only rename your current copy (see Backing up your existing version), but will also need to rename Rip Wiz 2003.exe to rw.exe or your shortcuts will no longer work (unless you manually edit them). *************************************** Additional files *************************************** Because this is an update, it is possible that additional files are required, such as OCX or DLL file's. If you receive an error regarding a file of either type, please do not panic. You will find all OCX controls we use at the URL below, simply jot down the OCX file missing, and visit the webpage below to download it (or send us an e-mail and we will send you a copy, along with instructions on how to install it). To install a newly downloaded OCX or DLL file, go to the Start menu, select Run, and type the command line below. OCX FILES regsvr32.exe filename.ocx DLL FILES regsvr32.exe filename.dll In both instances, replace filename with the actual filename of the OCX or DLL file.
